With 27 years of automotive retail experience, there is no better person to be running Cooper Ford than Aaron Cooper. Beginning when he graduated from Texas A&M in 1991 with a finance degree, his career in the automotive industry spans almost three decades. Cooper's first position was in sales at a high volume Chevrolet dealership that averaged 450 units per month, Smicklas Chevrolet in Oklahoma City.  He was quickly promoted to F&I Manager and then to Finance Director for the store.

In 1993, Cooper was offered the position of Finance Director for Larry Hilcher Ford in Arlington, TX, overseeing the F&I department in a store that sold 400 to 500 vehicles per month.  From there, Cooper was offered the Finance Director position within the Hendrick Automotive Group organization in 1996 to 1999 at their Cary, NC location (Cary Auto Mall), which sold on average 400 to 450 vehicles Auto Mall-wide.

Looking to further his automotive career, Cooper took a position for the next four years as an automotive consultant for EFG Companies out of Dallas, TX.  This resulted in an opportunity to manage & consult with over 25 stores in the state of Oklahoma and ultimately in 2003 be offered a partnership opportunity to manage and run Steve Jones Honda/Chevrolet out of Southern Pines, NC where his family resides today.

Aaron Cooper has been married for over 24 years and has four beautiful daughters ranging in age from 18 to 23. All four of his children attended Academy Heights Elementary, West Pine Middle, and Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines. While they still have two daughters in college and the youngest set to graduate Pinecrest high school this summer, their oldest daughter has returned home to work in the family business. Very active in their community and church, the Coopers have always tried to be a part of their children's activities whether it was softball, cheerleading, golf, piano, or academics.

Attending Grace Church in Southern Pines for 15 years, faith and Christian values have always been and will continue to be a big part of their family's foundation. This driving force and desire to lead a purpose driven life extends out to every aspect of the Cooper's daily decisions including Cooper Ford. With his favorite sayings being "Just do the right thing " and " Treat others as you wish to be treated." Aaron Cooper is devoted to customer service and treating his customers the way he would expect to be treated when buying or servicing his own car.Â
